We recently discovered this issue with our Android app and our dev team is working on resolving it.
In the meantime, you should be able to fix this issue by enabling permissions for notifications in the nugs app:
-On your device's home screen long press on the nugs app icon
-Click 'App Info'
-Click 'Permissions'
-Click 'Notifications'
-Toggle on 'Allow Notifications'
Then relaunch the app.
